Tracy joined Ridley & Hall as a trainee solicitor in June 2022 and qualified as a solicitor in January 2023.
Following a career change from her role as a GP surgery manager Tracy made a decision to go back to university and study law, something she has been passionate about for some time. Tracy attended the University of Law in Leeds where she completed the Graduate Diploma in Law. She then went on to study the Legal Practice Course.
Tracy began her legal career as a paralegal working in a child law department, dealing with both private and public child law cases as well as domestic violence matters. Tracy then began her training contract in a criminal law firm where she assisted with a variety of criminal cases, included matters of theft, burglary, assault and sexual offences. She even dealt with extremely serious cases such as murder. She advised clients at the police station after arrest or at voluntary interviews.
Tracy primarily assists clients on a variety of issues in relation to adoption including adoption applications, support and disruptions/breakdowns. She also assists with kinship matters such as SGO breakdowns.
Outside of work Tracy has a keen interest in running and has completed several races, including 10ks, The Great North run and the York marathon. She enjoys spending time with her friends and family and not forgetting her Labradoodle, Oscar.
