Anthony joined Ridley & Hall Solicitors in November 2023 as a Care & Public Law paralegal.
He closely collaborates with the department’s lawyers, assisting with a broad spectrum of matters at all stages of care proceedings.
Anthony supports clients in person at hearings, where he liaises with counsel and solicitors. He provides representation for parents at Public Law Outline meetings, offering support and advice. Throughout the care proceedings, he maintains extensive communication with clients and serves as a friendly ear for those who need someone to talk to.
While Anthony is relatively new to care and public law, he brings significant experience in Court of Protection matters. He can provide legal advice and guidance on professional deputyships, lay deputyships, and lasting powers of attorney.
Ant graduated from the University of Huddersfield with a master’s in law in 2022. This included his legal practice course, which he hopes will assist in securing a training contract to become a solicitor.
While Anthony’s current focus is on law, he also spent around 6 years working as a barista, during which he actively participated in and won competitions, leaving him with ‘overqualification’ in the art of making coffee.
