Sophie achieved a First-Class degree in Law, Criminology and Criminal Justice in 2020, for which she also achieved the Criminology Award for the highest overall grade on the course. Following this, Sophie achieved a distinction on the Graduate Diploma in Law, was awarded the prize for the highest overall grade on the course, together with the prize for the highest grade in Property Law. Sophie is now studying the Legal Practice Course before training to become a solicitor.
Sophie joined Ridley & Hall in 2022 as a Paralegal in the Private Client Team where she assists with Wills, Lasting Powers of Attorney and Estate Administration. This is an area that has attracted Sophie due to the ability to get to know clients and meet with new people. Sophie feels connected to this area of law due to her own experiences with Dementia in the family and wishes to help others experiencing such difficulties.
Sophie has a keen interest in law, which she studied at GCSE and A-Level. Her aspirations started with her participation in a Mock Trial Competition during high school and have grown since her degree. She has completed research projects in both Criminal and Family law areas but is also interested in Human Rights and International Law.
Outside of the workplace, Sophie enjoys attending the gym as well as meeting up with friends and family. Sophie is also a keen reader and enjoys travelling.
