Zoe Butt
Zoe Butt joined the firm in March 2023 as a Partner. Zoe has a wealth of experience in children matters and works in our Child Care & Public Law teams. Zoe’s particular expertise is in complex care proceedings involving Child Sexual and Criminal Exploitation, and cases involving alleged Non-Accidental Injury. She also has a wealth of experience in dealing with cases involving Forced Marriage, Female Genital Mutilation and Honour Based Violence.
Zoe represents parents and children within care proceedings, as well as accepting rule 16.4 instructions from Children’s Guardians within private law proceedings.
Zoe has specialised exclusively in the area of family and child law since 2009, and qualified as a Solicitor in 2013. Zoe previously worked at Makin Dixon Solicitors where she became a Partner in 2020.
Zoe became a member of the Law Society Children’s Panel in 2015, which recognises her particular expertise in dealing with proceedings relating to children.
Zoe enjoys strong links to various charities and organisations which means she is well placed to ensure that clients receive the right support to help them with their case.
Zoe has experience in providing key note speeches as an expert on various topics and also delivering training to professionals.
