This year sees the start of a new charity partnership between Ridley & Hall Solicitors and the Children’s Heart Surgery Fund (CHSF).

Based in Huddersfield, Leeds, Pontefract and Barnsley, Ridley & Hall’s charity committee and colleagues will be organising and taking part in a series of events to raise awareness for this fantastic cause and raise funds for the CHSF.

Based in Leeds, Children’s Heart Surgery Fund mission is to support the Leeds Congenital Heart Unit as a world-class centre of excellence – by providing the funding and resources needed to care for a patient’s heart, mind, family and future.

Some of the events planned for this year include Wear Red Day, Managing Director Emma Pearmaine’s Spring Cycling Challenge and many more.

Emma will also be strutting the catwalk at the Leeds Fashion Ball in April alongside Senior Partner Nigel Priestly and Marketing Manager Themer Slimane to raise awareness for this cause.

Emma Pearmaine, Managing Director said: “I had heart surgeries in the 1970’s as a child and have had continued medical support from our local heart specialists intermittently since. The work done by the Children’s Heart Surgery Fund is magnificent, supporting children and families and raising awareness. It is a privilege to be able to support them and I am looking forward to challenging myself cycling and stepping out of my comfort zone onto the catwalk with colleagues this year.”

Amanda Warrent, Corporate Partnership Manager at the CHSF said:”We are delighted to welcome Ridley & Hall on board as a corporate partner to the charity. Just like CHSF, Ridley & Hall are based in Yorkshire but with a national reputation, so a great fit.

“Their support will have a great impact on our region’s young heart patients and their families.

“Our aim is always to make children’s experiences of the heart surgery unit a more positive one, helping the whole family to cope and build resilience for the long and emotional journey they face through surgery and treatments.

“We’re excited to see your fundraising endeavours over the next 12 months whilst also raising awareness of our work. We know the challenge that Emma is taking on will be hard for her so we cannot thank her enough, and I’ll jump on one of the bikes to help reach those miles!”

If anyone would like to help support Emma’s challenge then please donate to her Just Giving page.
