Ridley & Hall launches a new website to support Grandparents and to protect their rights
Our Mission
Mature clients are at a time in life when they are supporting elderly parents, grown up children and grandchildren. They are also trying to plan for their own retirement and know that their own earning capacity and ability to generate capital is limited. Further, they are experiencing life changes which present additional challenges later in life. The launch of the Grandparents Legal Centre addresses all of that.
Children and Grandchildren
We often find our clients need advice in care proceedings, adoption, and kinship care support as well as for special guardianship. We often support a grandparent who is denied access to their grandchild or is expected to step into care without any financial support.
Wills, Probate, Lasting Powers of Attorney and Court of Protection
We advise clients about inheritance disputes, care home fees, financial abuse, advanced decisions and other areas of dispute. The need to plan for older age applies to us all and this includes tax planning, Wills and Lasting Powers of Attorney. We can also support the administration of estates on death.
Property
We advise about equity release and sale or purchase of private or commercial property. We also offer specific and tailored advice if you are supporting your child to buy their first property and gifting money.
Matrimonial & Family issues
We advise about divorce, separation and finances on divorce, domestic violence, and mediation. Divorce and separation is complicated later in life because you have to plan carefully to meet your financial needs in retirement and inheritance expectations of children and grandchildren.
We have an excellent team of passionate lawyers who are proud to provide bespoke advice and support. If you, a loved one or a friend require legal advice and support please contact us by telephone on 0843 289 7130 and one of our team will contact you for a free informal chat to see if we can be of service.
