Claire Cutts is a solicitor in the Wills and Probate department. Claire is a full member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) and a full member of the Association of Lifetime Lawyers (formerly Solicitors for the Elderly). Claire has also contributed to the Law Society’s Probate Practitioner’s Handbook.
Claire qualified in 2011. Initially, Claire combined some work in the family department with her private client files. Having spent a couple of years working in both areas, Claire decided to specialise in Wills, Lasting Power of Attorney, Probate applications, Administration of Estate and Deputyship applications.
Claire prides herself on trying to make often complex matters easier to understand for clients. Claire appreciates that for a lot of clients, coming to see a solicitor is the first time they have ever had to deal with the law, and it can be a daunting experience. Claire works with clients to understand what they wish to achieve and will guide them as to how she can meet their needs.
Outside of the office, Claire spends her time volunteering with Girl Guiding and helping at two Brownie units.
