Standing room only at the Property sector celebration raising vital funds for the Prince of Wales Hospice
70 property professionals from across the 5 towns and beyond, came together in Pontefract for Ridley & Hall’s lunchtime gathering to celebrate the first National Conveyancing Week.
Solicitors, estate agents, surveyors, mortgage advisers, brokers and search providers, all enjoyed a light lunch in the unique and welcoming The Robin Hood. The venue was selected as it epitomises a thriving independent local business providing a great service to the community.
Event organiser Adam Fletcher, Property director at Ridley & Hall is celebrating his 20th year in the property industry. Adam commented “The COVID period often gets blamed for a break down in social interaction but having looked back over the last two decades I have realised that there hasn’t been a notable gathering of the great and the good from the local property sector. We have some talented and committed local experts who transact on a daily basis but have never had the opportunity to meet. Throughout the event on numerous occasions reference was made to how great it was to “finally put a name to a face.”
“One attendee did drop me a note following the event to share that she was coincidentally transacting with another attendee following the event, having met him for the first time at the lunch and where previously email would have been used to resolve the final issues, she picked up the phone discussed and resolved the final points enabling them to agree a swift completion date.”
It’s now our aim going forward that we work together locally to publicise the quality and expertise of the local property professionals, highlight the benefits of instructing local representatives and work in collaboration to improve the home moving experience for buyers and sellers.
The event raised £584.67 for the Prince of Wales Hospice in Pontefract, and it’s hoped that this is only the start of more productive and enjoyable gatherings of our local property experts.
Our next event is an open invite to all businesses and organisations across the 5Towns – Friday Revival is a social gathering taking place at The Robin Hood on Friday 19th May 2023 between 3pm and 5pm. Tickets cost £7:50 with all proceeds again going to the Prince of Wales Hospice. Dean and his team will be providing bar snacks – places will be limited and can be booked on Eventbrite.
