Ridley & Hall Out in the Community
At Ridley & Hall Solicitors, we are proud to gift each of our colleagues two charity or community days every year. This initiative allows us to give back to the local community, support important causes, and foster meaningful connections outside of the workplace.
I’ve always believed that a world without charity would be a much poorer one. Many local and smaller charities simply wouldn’t survive without generous donations of both time and money.
One organisation I’m especially proud to support is MHA Communities Kirklees, which helps people to live independently and well in later life. One of their services includes a telephone befriending scheme, which aims to reduce loneliness and provide emotional support. I support a service user on this scheme by calling her weekly. It’s a small gesture, but a quick chat on the phone can make a huge difference to someone who may otherwise feel isolated.
Two weeks ago, myself and two colleagues from Ridley & Hall got stuck into sprucing up the garden at Bradley Court, one of MHA’s supported living facilities. We had a great day working outdoors and doing something practical to help.
If you’re a local charity or community group in need of a helping hand, we’d love to hear from you. Please contact us.
