Ridley & Hall raises thousands for local hospice
Ridley & Hall solicitors has raised over £2,000 for local charity Kirkwood Hospice.
On 2nd March 2017 a Ladies Night was held at the offices of Ridley & Hall, we have a particular specialism in family law, care proceedings and adoption, working with clients across the country.
The event marked Kirkwood Hospice’s 30th birthday and was in remembrance of a dear colleague and friend, Helen Galsworthy. The Dalton-based hospice supports patients diagnosed with incurable conditions and their families at the most difficult of times.
Attendees at the event were treated to nibbles and Prosecco, and were able to peruse stalls offering everything from clothing to hand crafted notebooks and relaxing hand massages. Thanks to generous donations, there were a host of raffle prizes up for grabs, with over 500 raffle tickets sold.
Managing partner at Ridley & Hall, Adam Fletcher, commented: “We were delighted to be able to host this event for the Hospice, which is a cause very close to our heart. Queues were on the verge of spilling outside, as ladies lined up to enter the offices – which was fantastic to see!.”
Ann Silver, who works as a PA at Ridley & Hall, was the event organiser. She said: “What a great success it was, we have raised the amazing sum of £2,005. This could not have been achieved without the generosity of so many people and the help and support which I received from the staff at Ridley & Hall, Kirkwood Hospice and everyone who helped to make it a fantastic night.”
This is the second cheque Ridley & Hall have presented to Kirkwood Hospice, with £1,790.00 presented to the charity at Christmas following internal fundraising and client donations.
