Some of our colleagues went along to Kirkwood Hospice’s ‘light up a life’ event on Sunday 7th December. This event takes place every year for members of the community to come together to remember loved ones they are missing.

Everyone that attends can have a walk through the building, buy gifts and refreshments and can look through the book of names to find their loved one that they are there remembering. Each attendee gets a light to hold during the ceremony. There is a speech given and the tree in the remembrance garden is lit up with lights.

Our staff that attended helped with various tasks including handing out the lights to guests. It was a pleasant, heart warming event to be a part of albeit a little bit chilly on the toes!
