
Michelle joined Ridley & Hall in October 2019 and was admitted to the Role of Solicitor in early November 2019.
Following redundancy from her longstanding role as Customer Service Manager at a national workwear company in 2007, Michelle took the decision to go to University and study law, something she had also hoped to do.
Whilst studying for her Law Degree, at Bradford Law School, Michelle was awarded Highest Achieving Student in the Law of Tort and Highest Achieving Student on the Foundation Degree.
Since graduating, Michelle has been invited back to the Law School to give a talk to prospective students in respect of her experiences of studying there.
Following completion of the LLB (Hons), Bachelor of Law, Michelle went on to study the Legal Practitioners Course at the University of Law in Manchester and took up a voluntary role at Citizens Advice Bureau gaining invaluable experience. Michelle also enjoyed the opportunity to undertake voluntary work within a Legal Advice Clinic organised by the University of Law.
Michelle began her Legal Career as a Legal Assistant in 2015 and progressed to Paralegal, Trainee Solicitor and finally Solicitor over the following 4 years, gaining as much knowledge as possible.
Michelle was awarded the Richard Cawthron Memorial Prize by Bradford Law Society in May 2019 for being a ‘Rising Star in the Legal Profession’. Michelle brings to Ridley & Hall a wealth of experience of Private Law Matters, Care Proceedings and representing Parents and Grandparents in respect of Local Authority Involvement with their families.
Michelle’s focus is on client care and providing people with honest and easy to understand legal advice without the unnecessary legal jargon.
Michelle is excited to join Nigel, Jane, Sarah, Helen and Rosie in the Kinship & Adoption Team, with their wealth of knowledge and experience to learn from.
Out of work, Michelle mostly enjoys cooking, reading, spending time with her three children, family and friends.
